How Are Paddles Tested and Reviewed?

Every paddle review combines on-court play testing with original performance data so you can see how a paddle actually plays, not just what the brand claims. Here’s what goes into each review:

  • Multiple play and drill sessions: Every paddle is tested across real games and drilling sessions before I share final thoughts. This helps me move beyond first impressions and understand how a paddle performs in different situations.
  • Controlled performance testing: Each paddle goes through repeatable power, pop, and spin tests to measure offensive performance in a consistent environment.
  • Static measurements: I collect all measurements myself, including weight, swing weight, twist weight, balance point, shape, core thickness, and other key specs.
  • Side-by-side comparisons: Every paddle is compared against others I’ve tested so you can better understand where it fits in the current market.

The result is a review process built around original data, real court time, and honest feedback, not manufacturer talking points.
