2024 Hot List Silver Award

Power paddles in the budget friendly space are sparce and this paddle fills in that gap well. It’s a power type paddle that gets its power from a slightly thinner 15mm core, thermoformed design, higher swingweight, longer handle, and elongated shape.

The paddle played more forgiving than I anticipated. They extended the handle to 5.75″ so there’s plenty of room for two handed shots but then squared out the bottom corners so that there was some weight there to help stabilize the paddle rather than giving it a tapered neck. I thought it was clever design that helped improve how the paddle played while still leaving plenty of room for two hands.

There are more powerful paddles out there but this one still hits harder though not being too over the top and has more of higher power and medium pop profile so that it can be dialed in if you have some of your own touch. It has a little stiffer feel to it but it’s not too harsh and I didn’t mind it and adapted to its feel quickly. 

Compared to the other budget paddles on our Hot List this one requires more skill to wield do to its heavier design and extra power and pop. If you have some racket history, particularly tennis, then I think you’d like the balance and shape of this one and if you need some help generating some extra power and don’t mind a the heavier weight then this is a good option too. Though the paddle is on the heavier side, it’s not unreasonable and they also offer the paddle in a lightweight option though I’ve only played the standard weight option.

The bottom line: This is the best power type paddle I’ve found in the budget space and is a nice option for players who seek or need power.
