There are only a few big power paddles out there and this is one of them. You can expect big power from the baseline and even more pop at the net. Not only does the big power make this paddle unique, but it plays with a consistent bounce that makes it the most controllable compared to the other huge power paddles like the Gearbox Pro Powers and the JOOLA Gen-3 paddles. Then, to top the cake, it’s more durable than those paddles just mentioned so you can expect the paddle to last much longer without running into durability issues common to other power type paddles like core crushing and foam expansion. 

The paddle is elongated with a 5.3 inch handle and a thinner core at 12.7. It doesn’t have an oversized sweet spot but it’s more forgiving than what you’d expect for it being so thin and is certainly manageable though it won’t necessarily do you any favors either. It is loud at impact which is unfortunate but it has a more intuitive feel to it than the JOOLA Gen-3 paddles which is nice, though it’s still a firmer feel compared to most paddles. Then the paddle is lighter for an elongated shape which gives it this nice combo of speed and power that makes it deadly at the net. 

Paddletek also makes this paddle in a 14.3mm version and has a TKO-CX version which is the same paddle with a longer 5.75″ handle. It’s nice to have a few options.

The bottom line: If you’re looking for a weapon, this is my favorite big power type paddle and it’s better durability is a really nice bonus. This is a more advanced paddle though, and is not the best option if you don’t have a developed soft game.
