Gearbox unlocked a new level of power in their Pro Power series. The series consists of two different shapes, an elongated option (Pro Power Elongated( and a shorter option (Pro Power Integra).

Several technology innovations were introduced in these paddles to get the big power. The main one being the addition of foam in the core, located in the sweet spot of the paddle. The paddles also have a raw texture surface which previously had not yet been done on an edgeless paddle like these.

If you ever get a chance to put a ball away and one of these paddles are in your hands, the ball isn’t coming back. Everything offensively is enhanced with these paddles and they have the spin to back them up and help wield the power.

Additionally, the foam core helps mute the sound of the paddle and gives you a pleasant, soft, sort of hollow feel at impact that is unusual for a power paddle. It’s a nice feel that’s easier to connect with than the stiffer feel of most power type paddles.

The downside of these is that they have a below average sweet spot and it takes more effort to control the ball on drops, resets, and dinks. Moreso than other power paddles because these are so poppy and powerful. But if you can dial in the soft game to a point where its good enough then there are a lot offensive benefits to enjoy.

The bottom line: These are the biggest power paddles to date that also come with a pleasant feel to them. They are difficult to tame but if you can, you’re a better player with these in your hands.
