This is a classic shaped paddle with a standard handle length paired with a thick core and a raw carbon fiber face. Looking at those specs you would think it’s a pure control paddle but that’s not the case. It packs a punch and if it didn’t have a thick core then it would be a power paddle. 

The original Pursuit paddles from Engage were some of the most popular paddles when they were released in 2021 but lost steam overtime as paddles with more spin came around. However, Engage fixed that with their new models. This paddle averages over 2,000 RPMs which puts it up there with the best spin paddles you can find and you can really see it dip on drives.

What’s unique about this paddle is that it produces more power than the thermoformed style paddles that dominate the all-court category without being thermoformed. Because of this it doesn’t have that stiffer feel that accompanies thermoformed paddles and is much more plush and pleasant at impact.

Its only real downside is that it can be too poppy for some players and is harder to slow the ball down at times. 

The bottom line: The Pursuit Pro EX 6.0’s forgiving shape and thick core pair nicely with the extra power and pop it gives you when attacking. Giving you a unique combination of power and control that you don’t get from any other non thermoformed thicker core paddle.
