The short and sweet of this one is that it has a medium to lower power rating, a good pop rating, great forgiveness, very maneuverable and good spin. The paddle enhances your control and helps you get to the net but shines more at the net than other control paddles. The paddle moves freely and fast and then the pop is there to finish points but it’s not so much pop that dinking and resets are not doable. It certainly has more pop than most widebody and standard paddles which is a characteristic that’s uncommon for those shapes. It’s enough pop to keep you dangerous but it isn’t enough firepower to put it in the all-court category.

The paddle feels solid and stable at impact and carries through the ball well for a 112 swingweight. It doesn’t feel like it gets pushed around and retains its high maneuverability which is a nice combo. Because it carries through the ball well I could swing naturally and found my game with it pretty quickly. It’s medium to low power makes it easier to take pace off the ball on drops and to find the right trajectory you want and then the pop is available as you get closer to the net and are looking for offense.

It has a semi short 5.3″ handle that is cumbersome for two handed shots but is doable. If you don’t play two handed shots it can be to your advantage to have a semi shorter handle like this because they offer more stability than paddles with extra long handles.

Lastly, it’s nice to have a fun designed paddle that still plays well. In a sea of jet black paddles, it’s nice to have another option.

The bottom line: If you need help hitting consistent thirds or have a tendency to hit the ball long but don’t want to give up strong counters and help offensively at the net then this is a good option. Plus it’s very forgiving and lightweight which makes it an easy paddle to pick up and play at any level. It will enhance the consistency without giving up too much offense for beginners and won’t hold back more advanced players that like widebody type paddles.
